From external bruises to internal inflammations
From knee infections to kid-knee infections.
Life has come a long way. Well not so long but yeah some what mid-way!!
And it has, like everyone else given me lot of sweet-bitter experiences;though I have this feeling, more than any nearing-30 middle/ upper middle-class female. Point is I have grown up but I guess the kid-in-'ney' sorry 'me' has refused to grow up.
Life also is a great teacher. It teaches in its own ways; with all these late night rushes, first intra-veinous incision, first saline, long hours of first CT scan and first-time admission to the hospital, one thing is damn clear, I better be careful if I want my chi… er grand-children getting mar… er having kids. What's wrong in dreaming big!!
Well life and that directly/ indirectly means our body has to be taken seriously. I guess no more waking up late, sleeping late and no more reasons to lead a frivolous life. No more pride in being called the "night-queen" or "nisha-chari". All of these will now be packed in the box of the past. People who called me these would be happier seeing me healthy and that I can bet on.
An old adage heard first time when I was 4 or 5 years old left it's impression on me only 24 years later, that is now.
"Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy , wealthy and wise."
Guess everything is not to be questioned. I have been questioning it ever since.
Guess I got my answers right.
